Okay, so we went yesterday! Yay! My dd was so excited. She kept saying "Mommy I can't believe we're really going there!"
Our fixer-upper Sam went with us (her new wig met us when we got home. Oh well, she'll be ready for the Fashion Show on Saturday). Samantha wore the Apres outfit- thanks to allthingsag and a few people asked me if I had someone knit the sweater for her. We got there about 10:30 am and it was already crowded, but not crazy. My dd immediately wondered over to the AGT area while I inquired about club stars. No one required my dd to be present. I just needed to know her club name.
Anywho, dd fell in love with the Gala Party outfit, but mommy said no way, not today. We ended up buying the Star pjs for dolls, the Sparkly Sport outfit and of course the retired pink Ski Trip outfit (there were many). Oh, we also picked up the tortoise shell glasses after we saw them on one of the AGTs. I was so tempted to buy more, but I just bought a few retired outfits off of ebay so I used some restraint. I also noticed that they have a New York charm for the club bracelet that's a store exclusive, but they were out so I left my info with CS.
My daughter was a little disappointed that I didn't buy Marisol. She felt that "all" the girls there were walking around with one and she wasn't. I felt bad, but thought of the look on her face when she gets her for Christmas! Priceless! I did ask her what outfits she liked for Marisol. She picked the Jazz outfit (which I have since I bought the Starter set) and the Tap outfit. I wasn't planning on buying it, but since she loves it, why not?
On the historical floor, dd fell in love with Samantha's display. I loved Josefina's. We took plenty of pics!
It was Bitty puppy's birthday so she made a bookmark on the Bitty floor and received a Bitty juice box for participating. There we saw a little girl about 9 and her younger sister in Chocolate Cherry outfits along with their dolls! Adorable. Of course now dd wants it too. There were many girls with their dolls. Some had one, others brought 3 or 4! Some dolls had "fresh" hairdos courtesy of the doll salon. It was nice to watch them work magic. They did a beautiful ribbon entwined braids on Kaya. It was gorgeous. The wish book was displayed on every floor, by the concierge desk, registers, etc. It didn't seem like it was an Exclusive customer only book.
I think that's all. We went to the halloween party at Macys after that which was a madhouse but dd had fun. I, on the other hand, am still recovering. That's why it took me so long to post. I'll hopefully have pics up in a few days, so be on the lookout! We can't wait to go back.

Monica,
It sounds like a great trip! I love seeing the girls with their dolls- and all the newly done doll hairdos. Thanks for the heads up on the NY charm. I wonder if there is one in Chicago?
Your daughter is going to be thrilled when she does get Marisol! By the way, she looks great in the Star PJs.

I'm so glad you received such raves on the apres ski outfit and that your dd had such a terrific time at AGPNY. I'm taking my granddaughter (6) there Nov. 11 for her special Grammy birthday day. She wants me to bring one of my dolls. I may feel a little foolish but if that's what she wants I will accomodate. She's getting Sam for her birthday, but she doesn't know it yet. she told me I was lucky because I have so manyh dolls.
I just love kids.
